On the heels of Dustin's post, I am happy to announce that I will be working with SharePoint Experts to create a SharePoint branding class.  Web designers, site builders, design newbies and old hats, this class is for you and will focus on just SharePoint branding and UI customization.

I am excited to work with the SharePoint Experts team, and the new offering is slated for 3Q 2007.  I will definitely be posting more about the class in the months to come.

If there is a particular topic or issue you would love to see addressed in a class like this, feel free to drop me a line. I definitely appreciate feedback!

For anyone not familiar with SharePoint Experts, they are one of the leading SharePoint training shops in the nation.  Check out their infamous Bootcamps (and yes you get dog tags!).

wauw sounds good! Will there a europe roadtrip also?
issues I would like to see addressed:

    - design differences and challanges between MOSS en WSS
    - tableless design in MOSS
    - How to prevent SPD messing with my code (for instance adding unwanted non-breaking spaces)
    - custom design in 1033 files
    - best practices for the storage of your (custom) images
    - best practices for deployement of master pages, page layouts, itemstyles and css
    - customizing your horizontal and vertical navigation controls

and than in the goodie bag a cleaned up core.css with no duplicated classes, comments and one single way of declarating font sizes. That would be cool! :)

This is AWESOME news Heather. A training course on branding has been sorely lacking in the community and I can't wait for this to be available! Best of luck with the venture!

    1) Design SharePoint Master Pages from Scratch
    2) Design SharePoint Master Pages from Scratch
    3) Design SharePoint Master Pages from Scratch

We have created master pages for clients, but feel that creating them from scratch would really provide the nicest possible look and feel. Please contact me when this class comes out since we would have several people that would be interested. We have been looking for this type of class to train our staff. Thanks.

I am working on a development machine and testing branding. Someohow I messed up and now all my fonts on the actual Portal are tiney tiny. I then copied all the .css sheets back to the development machine thinking that would make it return to normal and it did not. This scared me and I don't really know where to go with this one. Any ideas? How can I work on the dev machine for a real environment if I can't get it back to normal?
