It is breezy outside with some light cloud cover, but still sunny. It is only 90 degrees compared to the sizzling 100 degree heat we have had for over a week. Conditions are ripe for kite flying. Oh and Neil Frank keeps telling us we will get a direct hit from Rita and to run for cover. That does a good job of ruining the mood. In fact dear Dr. Frank has been banned from my house despite his wonderful reputation and instead we have traded him in for another Frank- Frank Billingsley- who shoots it to you straight with no doomsday crap. Me likey this Frank.
Today has been Betty Homemaker day... laundry, dishes, cooking of perishable stuff... we are tired and sore from all the work yesterday. Worse thing is my headache that just won't go away. I think it is stress.
We are hunkered down and waiting at this point. Nothing else can be done. We were very saddened by the bus tragedy this morning and our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims.
I plan on taking pics as the storm rolls in. If I get anything neat I will post stuff as I can.
