If you have canned demos or tutorials for how to use SharePoint portal or WSS, add a link to the demo site to your site template, so every site will by default have a link to your demo/tutorial help files so users don’t have to track them down (and better yet be reminded of their existence).
You can make an attractive graphic with text like “Learn more about Windows SharePoint Services / Click here for a demo”.
